Chalet Wildhorn is a stunning 6-bedroom chalet with 6 bathrooms, hot tub, WiFi, double height living room and breathtaking panoramic views. Sleeps 12-15.
Chalet Wildhorn is a built to a very high specification out of natural materials and stone to combine a rustic feel with a very high modern specification. The double height living room provides a real ‘wow’ factor and the layout caters for families and large groups with a huge kitchen / dining room and a further second separate living room and bedroom suite.
Dramatic in the day time but cosy at night, the living area is dominated by a huge fireplace constructed out of stone helicoptered down from the mountain – perfect for settling down after a hard days skiing or hiking in front of a log fire with a glass of wine and taking in the view.
After a hard days skiing or hiking / mountain biking, there is a hot tub on the deck from which to admire the views (champagne anyone?) and wind down.

Alternatively you may just want to relax and watch Sky TV / DVD, listen to the surround sound system or use the WiFi internet. It is also possible to book a massage or beauty therapy consultant to visit the chalet for that extra treat, and a babysitting service can also be arranged.
Lower Ground Floor
The lower ground floor includes 2 master bedrooms and a technical/laundry room – complete with waher and dryer should the need to do laundry arise. The master bedrooms include doubles which can be split out as twins, separate antique wardrobes and bathrooms with heated floors and towel rails, bath, power shower and double sink.
The halfway floor between the master bedrooms and the living room houses 2 double bedrooms and a twin connected by a long corridor. Again, all bedrooms include ensuioter bath and/or shower rooms.
Sitting Room Floor
One then comes up the stairs into the large double sitting room area, where the huge stone fireplace provides the focal point. There is a quiet library / study area to one end of the sitting room, as well as a comfortable living room area by the fire, with sofas and chairs, a large TV with a DVD player and Sky satellite service.
Up another half flight into the kitchen and dining area. The bespoke kitchen has been created out of old wood and has every Miele appliance – there are 2 freezers, a fridge, plate warmers and a microwave and oven. The raised dining area enjoys fantastic views through the double height windows to the valley below. A solid oak dining table seats 12. Catering services ranging from delivered evening meals to full chef service can be organised separately from an agency in Nendaz.
Turning left past the dining room, one walks into the entry lobby area by the front door which boasts separate bespoke cupboards made out of reclaimed old wood for storing boots and ski clothes; shelving for goggles and packs; and a cabinet for helmets etc. Skis are kept outside in a covered area by the front door next to the logs for the fire.
Walking past the guests’ WC, one arrives at a separate wing of the chalet which contains a separate sitting room with its own TV and DVD, together with bathroom and mezzanine bedroom. Conceived as a separate area for children to enjoy their space and give adults some quiet time in the evening, the area also offers the equivalent of hotel suite accommodation for any adults lucky enough to be allocated the wing. (Baby sitting services can be booked and there is a crèche in Nendaz and excellent ski schools.)
There is a double and a single wood bed in the Mezzanine Wing, with a divide crafted out of wood in traditional Alpine style on a half floor which has full 2.5 metre standing room and has plenty of space above the sitting room. Underneath the bedroom area is a bathroom with bath and double sink and the usual underfloor heating, heated radiator etc. The sofa is actually a double sofa bed if needed, so the chalet has capacity for 15 to sleep although we do not recommend this as 12 is more comfortable for dining and bathroom facilities etc.
6 bedrooms, containing 3 double beds, 2 twin/doubles, 1 twin and a single (plus a double sofabed). Each bedroom has been furnished by Design Forum to the same high standard, with the old wood and stone of the chalet complemented by antiques or bespoke wood wardrobes, quality fabrics (including walls in some cases) and with modern bathroom fittings, power showers etc.
6 ensuite bath and/or shower rooms, beautifully constructed in rustic timber and fitted out with heated towel rails and power showers, with plus a separate guests’ WC.
Chalet Wildhorn is located just less than 1km away from the lift station by foot, up Chemin des Rairettes. The walk would take you around 10-15 minutes, or a you can drive it in about 2 minutes and park beside the lift station. During winter months when the snow is on the mountain, it is possible to ski back to the chalet (it is only 400m from the piste, as the crow flies).
Chalet Wildhorn can be booked for weekly rental throughout the year, and prices depend on whether the week is peak or off-peak. We also charge two different levels of off-peak price (Primary and Secondary). Please ask us for a quotation when you enquire.
On certain off-peak dates, the chalet can be booked on a nightly rate, with a minimum stay of 4 nights. Please ask us for details when you enquire.
